John Fairclough is our Founder and CEO. Born and raised in and around Chicago, now living in suburban Chicago with his wife and children, he represents the 4th generation of entrepreneurial tradesmen.

John began his career in the industry in 1991. His current responsibilities include shaping the vision, protecting the culture and executing the strategy of the company. His background in business development and management have helped build the foundation of the company. His deliberate approach to training and process development have helped produce accountable professionals that produce successful projects for our clients.

John's greatest asset may be his commitment to the development of others. He understands that the success of the group depends on the improvement of each team member, therefore, he commits much time and company resources to training and intra-company team building. An avid entrepreneur, he mentors other business owners and helps them reach their potential.

Michael Fairclough is our Executive Vice President of Sales. Born and raised in and around Chicago, now living in Southern California with his wife and 2 sons, he represents the 4th generation in a family of painters.

Michael began his career in the industry in 1996 and his current responsibilities include company infrastructure and technical director. With his background in chemistry coupled with a project specific approach to solutions, Michael has written and implemented specifications for hundreds of projects - ranging from historical preservations to the latest retail concepts. He understands the importance of design and consistency in retail and seeks to meet the demand with a hybrid approach of new technology and old school common sense. He is currently involved in testing and assimilating his client's existing specifications to fall within the guidelines of revised environmental regulations.

Michael's greatest asset may be his willingness to listen and understand the needs of his clients and make them his own - he understands the constraints that a retail environment represents, and develops solutions that have little to no disruption in the day to day store operations. Michael's desk will always have an open book on coatings or building materials along with a gallon of paint that he is testing for a client.

Rick Detres is our Executive Vice President of Operations. Born and raised in the Chicagoland Area, Rick now lives in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife and family. He has been in the building services industry for over 20 years.

Rick began his career in 1988 working as a technician, quickly moving up the ranks to project manager, then director of operations. Rick went to Depaul University in Chicago where he majored in Accounting. This obsession with numbers has helped him organize and execute thousands of projects successfully all across the country. He understands the value in preparation and works tirelessly on building execution plans. He brings the "here and now" perspective to the executive team that helps make sure all client needs are met while preparing the company and its team for the future.

Ricks greatest asset may be his focus. He leads his team by example and teaches the discipline of handling projects and challenges pro-actively. He has a keen sense of where problems may develop and instills processes to ensure we deliver successful projects to our clients.
